My performance of my aerial sling solo, frayed Glamour at the 10th annual Harvest Chicago Contemporary Dance Festival September 2019. This piece discusses the topic of body image and the pressures society places on individuals, especially woman to hold up to certain unattainable standards causing us to hate what is naturally beautiful and unique about us. This was my 2nd time performing this particular work. It had much more significance and meaning for me this time around, especially seeing my body transform after having my son.
My Performance at the 2017 Capital of Texas Aerial Championships. I was 4 months pregnant with my baby boy, Xander. This piece represents an internal struggle and the ability to love unconditionally despite it all. My beautiful friends of Grata Designs custom made my costume for my body at that time in my pregnancy. I was so happy with the way it looked. It embodied a type of sweet innocence like that of child's.
My silks performance in the finale year of Cirque de la Mer and my final year performing with the company. The show became Cirque Electrique and is still going at Sea World, San Diego during the summer months. I performed in the show for 3 consecutive summers and loved every bit of it!
An abridged version of my solo "Załoba". This piece was performed at the inaugural year of the U.S. Aerial Championships in 2015. I created this work as a homage to my father who passed away from cancer two years prior. I performed the full length of this work at the West Coast Aerial Arts Festival in 2014 and won first place in my category, silks professional, and overall.
